Ezz Eye Care ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting the privacy and security of everyone who uses our website, the patient app and the staff app. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
* Account details: name, phone number, email address, medical record number (MRN) and the family members you add to your account.
* Appointment details: bookings, branch, doctor, queue and waiting status, and visit history.
* Medical files: reports, test results and images you upload yourself or scan with the camera inside the app.
* Staff details: attendance, tasks, leaves and permissions, performance indicators and evaluations.
* Technical details: device type, operating system and notification token, needed to run the service and send alerts.
How we use information
* Managing appointments and bookings and showing queue status.
* Verifying your identity at sign-in with a code sent to your phone or email.
* Making your medical files available to you and to your treating doctor at the center.
* Sending appointment reminders and service notifications.
* Letting staff follow their attendance, tasks and evaluations.
* Improving our service and answering your questions.
Camera and files
The app asks for camera access only when you choose to scan a document or take a photo to upload. It reaches only the photos and files you pick yourself.
Sharing
We do not sell, rent or share your information with anyone for marketing. Only the relevant medical and administrative team at the center can see your medical data. We may disclose information when the law requires it.
Data security
Data is kept on secured servers and sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS), with encrypted backups and access limited to what each staff member's role needs.
Third-party services
* Google Play and the App Store to install and update the apps.
* Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to deliver notifications.
* SMS and email providers to deliver verification codes.
* Google's document scanner (ML Kit), which runs on your device to scan papers.
These services handle only the minimum data they need, under their own privacy policies.
Account deletion
You can request deletion of your account from inside the app; we complete it within 30 days. Sign-in to the account is closed, while the center keeps medical records for as long as the law requires.
Children's privacy
Children are added as family members under a parent's or guardian's account. We do not collect their information directly without that supervision.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time and will post any change on this page with a new effective date. Continuing to use our services after that means you accept the updated policy.
